Club Information

The Lake Sammamish Waterski Club has much to offer to members and to the local community. During the club's active months, from March through September, members enjoy participating in a variety of activities from monthly meetings to competition in tournaments and involvement with local youth organizations. Community Events

The Lake Sammamish Waterski Club is pleased to sponsor activities which benefit the local community. Water skiing for the blind and inter-city youth day are among the events which the club actively supports.

Lake Rentals

The club schedules approximately six multi-day and single-day private lake rental events in Eastern Washington each summer. Popular locations include Sun Basin Ski Ranch, Tate Lake, and Koreis Lake. See the Events calendar for dates and locations.

Reservations: Lake Rental reservations are made on first-come, first-served basis. Submittal of payment is required to hold a reservation. There are 15-17 spots available for multi-day rentals. There are eight spots available for one-day rentals.

Sign Up: Please contact the club officer in charge of Lake Rentals for availability and for instructions on how to sign up for a lake rental. Please note that some sites require a current AWSA card for insurance purposes. Check with the club officer.

Cancellation of Reservation: If the event that you must cancel your lake rental reservation, contact the club officer. You can contact people on the waiting list to sell your reservation. If there is no one on the waiting list, you can attempt to find someone not on the waiting list to take your spot. If you cannot find anyone to take your place, your deposit will not be refunded.

Protocol: A new list of skiers will begin each morning with the first skiers on the water. Additional people will be added to the list as they become available. You can continue to ski as long as there is no waiting list. You are allowed to share your spot with a friend or family member.

After the first pass through the list skiers arriving will be able to ski as soon as they are ready. Their names will be added to the bottom of the list. The will be allowed to ski only once that round and will be placed at the end of the list for the next rounds.

With the boatowner's approval, each skier can choose their driver. In order to share the workload, please volunteer to drive, time, and spot throughout the day, based on your experience level.

Garbage: Take out what you bring in. Keep your own garbage sacks at your campsite. There is no central refuse.

Site Responsibility: The club lake rental officer or designated member will have responsibility for the site. If problems arise, try to work them out. If a problem cannot be resolved at the site, accept the site leader's decision and contact the club president later to discuss the issue.

Lake Owners: LSWSC members are privileged to rent the lakes and use the facilities every year. Please be respectful of the lake owners, caretakers, and guests.

Volunteers: A dealer or club member who volunteers to tow a boat to a lake rental event will receive one free weekend or day spot. Club members bringing their own boats will receive one free weekend or day spot and compensation for towing.

What to Bring: Most sites are primitive camping, so plan accordingly. Suggested items to bring include: ski gear, shelter, sleeping bag, pillow, air mattress, pump, flashlight/lantern, stove, BBQ, charcoal lighter fluid, pots and pans, utensils, plates, napkins, food campfire wood, toilet paper, and water.

Note: Some lake rental sites do not allow pets. Be sure to check the site policy when signing up.

Meetings

The club meets on the second Tuesday of every month at various locations in the local area. The monthly meetings give members the opportunity to socialize and plan club activities. Members attending club meetings receive bonus bucks, redeemable at the annual Christmas party auction. Guests are always welcome at the meetings. Organization

The Lake Sammamish Waterski Club is organized into an Executive Board and Executive Committee. Members holding positions within these groups are referred to as Club Officers. The President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer comprise the Executive Board. The Social Chair, Membership Secretary, Booklet and Sponsor, Legal Chair, Tournament, and Lake Rental officer positions make up the Executive Committee.

Third Party List

LSWSC members can login to access the third party list, where they can find ski partners with similar schedules. The third party list is a great resource for members who don't own boats because it enables them to find and contact members who do own boats.

Tournaments

The Lake Sammamish Waterski Club sponsors and supports novice, intermediate, and USA Water Ski-sanctioned events throughout the season. Lots of fun! See the Events schedule for dates, times, and locations.
